BSIDES DETROIT@SecurityBSidesGlobal What ever happened to the Bsides Detroit group? Is it still around? is it time for a revival?
Got a second article published in 2600. "The AI Risk Nobody Seems to Mention" is on page 31 of the winter 23/24 issue.
@deviantollam Do you happen to know if the new venue for Defcon has any restrictions on things like multitools or other common carry items like lockpicks or reasonable pocket knives?
What if instead of stickers next year for DefCon32, a bunch of us just made custom pogs to confuse anyone not on mastodon? I would totally collect hacker pogs.
Never met KM but his work and his books were part of what got me into this world. RIP Kevin.

Kevin Mitnick, hacker and fugitive turned security consultant, dies at 59
Kevin Mitnick, whose cyber crimes inspired the 2000 film « Takedown » and who was the subject of a highly publicized FBI manhunt, died of pancreatic cancer.
The Washington PostWelp it's official, I dropped Netflix. Not because of the no password sharing policy. Its because they simply do not allow a "home" to include more than one private subnet. So I can't watch a show on my gaming computer then continue on my tv downstairs unless I put it all in the same subnet. One public ip, from one isp. Sorry Netflix this isn't going to work for me.
