Thought on Monday that I might stream today? Not happening. I'm hungover, I'm tired, I three and a half hours drove through mountains, and I just got home 5 minutes ago.

See yall on stream Friday.D6 roll of 3 means we'll be streaming Othercide.

I just remembered that I have to be somewhere tomorrow so Wednesday's stream's gonna be delayed to Thursday.

Turns out Luna Abyss doesn't have any additional endings, it's just collectibles I'm missing.

That being said, Monday's going to be a new game. As I expected, not a soul is looking at the Mastodon posts, so no votes on the games.

Actually found a game that looked really fun called En Garde by Fireplace Games. Going to play that one instead of Othercide or Disfigure to take a break from the dark stories.

Othercide or Disfigure?

Coming up on the end of the Luna Abyss playthrough, expecting to get at least partway through one more stream. Here's our two options for the next game:

Othercide by Lightbulb Crew

Disfigure by Cold Brew Entertainment

I'm honestly up for either, so if I get no feedback, I'll roll a die and pick what fate decides.

And a follow-up on the roll cake.

Used this recipe as a base: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/278040/triple-chocolate-roll-cake/

I get why roll cakes aren't common. They're much harder than layer cakes. This recipe in particular runs up against the limit of structural viability for a roll cake.

You make around 3 cups of filling for 2 cups of batter, and you want the cake to be an even half inch thick all the way through. Too thick and it tears when rolled, too thin and it tears when separating from the parchment. Both happened to me.

Two things:

First, I baked a roll cake today. It looks like a gutted fish with the huge split down its side but considering this was in preparation for baking someone's birthday cake, I learned a lot.

Second, next game after Silksong is gonna be Luna Abyss by Kwalee Labs. Game released last week and immediately had a sale on, so it seems like a good choice.

Looking at the difference in viewership between Lucid Blocks and Silksong.

For Lucid Blocks, regular viewership was 20+ viewers on stream and 10-40 views on Youtube. Now in Silksong, it's gone down to <10 on stream and ZERO on Youtube.

I'm pretty sure it's because Silksong's been widely played and watched already. I'm just confounded by the added variable of my having deviated from the regular schedule last weekend, muddying my evaluation of the difference.

Curse you, uncontrolled variables!

It's gonna be Silksong. And I'll be doing the double stream from 12-3 and 5-8 PST tomorrow.

Also thinking about setting up a Bluesky account to mirror notifications.

I forgor. I've got Mother's day obligations on Monday that will prevent me from streaming on Monday.

Stream will move to Tuesday, still don't know what game it's going to be and whether I'll be doing two 3-hour streams.

Trying to decide between Lords of the Fallen and Silksong.
