When the NHS is weak, that’s when predators like Sajid Javid & David Davis start circling and testing defence responses.

And we know there are many healthcare companies waiting behind them.

The NHS cannot be trusted with the Tories. The appetite to kill & sell it is clear.

Over the past week we've seen a noticeable uptick in men joining, following dozens of accounts with female avatars, and then messaging them directly.

Some appear to be real people, some are fake accounts with stolen identities.

Either way, this is stalking and harassing behaviour, and we have zero tolerance for it.

For those affected by accounts we fail to catch, please report them. We _will_ take action, and you'll help keep the community safe and welcoming for all.

Public Service Warning

Mastodon has a very big surge of new users right now. There's no way to tell if it will be sustained, but at this early point it looks similar to Nov 18 when Musk pulled the employee purge.

It is very challenging for system administration to accommodate so many new users. If your server starts to struggle, it is not broken and will get sorted out.

We're all in this together. It's our social network. Be patient. What we are building is amazing.

At this stage, it's just for the #Bylines publications. We want to get innovative on the supply side about how we serve our articles into the Fediverse.

Snow Squirrel

Watching red squirrels scurrying and springing around a woodland in the Highlands is wonderful, but add a blizzard into the mix, and magic happens.

With big, fat flakes of snow falling through the canopy, I managed to get a shot of one of the resident squirrels as it leapt from a branch.

Boy, was I wrong. I found social media, and then a second wind at my sails in my 70s! I made my Broadway debut at 78, and I’ll make my London debut at 85.
