Two days ago, I forgot to wear my helmet for a 10-mile bike ride. I hung it up as I checked tire pressure, then forgot to put it on. I was fine.
Does that mean I don't need to wear a helmet? Of course not. It'll be on my head where it belongs on my next ride.
Were the risks great not wearing one? No, the risks were miniscule--but those risks would accumulate if I didn't wear one on every ride.
Now, replace helmet with mask and bike with crowded space. See how this works? #COVID19
