Informed opinions, please!

Unburdened by knowledge or experience, I've decided to create a podcast interview series. After some online digging, I think I'm going to use Libsyn (studio/hosting/connect), which I believe will hold my hand on everything but the editing.

PRESS RELEASE: Doomsday Clock set at 90 seconds to midnight

The Doomsday Clock was set at 90 seconds to midnight, due largely but not exclusively to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the increased risk of nuclear escalation. The new Clock time was also influenced by continuing threats posed by the climate crisis and the breakdown of global norms and institutions needed to mitigate risks associated with advancing technologies and biological threats such as COVID-19.

Celebrating one year of rooftop solar in rainy Seattle! It generated 80% of our annual electricity. In the last 9 months we paid $50 total in electric bills, inclusive of EV charging. Rooftop solar lowers energy costs, reduces emissions and helps protect sensitive landscapes.

to take red flags as potentially representing something enormous), well, these folks don't want to believe it (understandably, in the 1st case, less forgivably in the 2nd).

Anyway, I'm hardly the first and sadly won't be anywhere near the last to tell you, but #CovidIsNotOver,

And if you don't want to have a heart attack, stroke, or brain damage (https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/long-covid-even-mild-covid-linked-damage-brain-months-infection-rcna18959) from your "cold", then do your damnedest to avoid the effing "cold". A mask really just isn't that onerous, people, and your life is worth it.
Long Covid: Even mild Covid is linked to damage to the brain months after infection

How Covid infection affects the brain: Even mild cases of Covid-19 are associated with subtle tissue damage and accelerated losses in brain volume, study shows.

real echo of climate change, in that some folks are attentive to the studies, & they're (we're) very alarmed. Everyone else (mostly those who don't have time for the studies but also some WHOSE JOB IT IS to interpret the studies for us, but who are temperamentally reluctant...
All 3 were robust. All 3 had some previous issues. All 3 had had covid. Was covid the straw on the camel's back? Based on all I've read (e.g. https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-022-00403-0), the answer is very likely yes, but since we're not tracking it closely anymore, good luck getting good data...
Heart-disease risk soars after COVID — even with a mild case

Massive study shows a long-term, substantial rise in risk of cardiovascular disease, including heart attack and stroke, after a SARS-CoV-2 infection.
