One of the nice perks of teaching at #LlewellynCon is that you get a nice little thank-you box of goodies. This year's box was stellar, and I squee'd out loud when I saw that it included a copy of the Starman Tarot, which I've had my eye on for awhile. This deck is inspired by the years-long creative collaboration between artist Davide De Angelis and David Bowie and it's full of richly-colored, psychedelic art. I can't wait to take it for a spin.
I've recorded a bunch of podcasts this year. The time I spent with the folks at Mystical Musings was extra-special, though. We talked for a solid two hours (edited down to about 90 minutes) about everything from "Queer Rites" to the state of queerness in the United States to my favorite books in a bunch of different genres to my secret for perfectly-buttered toast.

Really enjoying getting to know fellow nonbinary Llewellyn author Thumper Forge, whose book on Chaos Magick is coming out this fall. We both co-wrote books in the Sun Sign Series that came out in 2023/2024 (they did Virgo Witch, I did Sagittarius Witch). Thumper recently gifted me a nonbinary pride bracelet to match their own, and it was such an incredibly sweet gesture.

OMG OMG OMG y'all.
When my first book came out, I had a couple places I was dying to see it on the shelf: places that meant a lot to me. One was my hometown public library (check!) & the other was Powell's in Portland, Oregon.
Well, Powell's had my first book available only as a special order, which was a little disappointing. But my newest book, "Queer Rites," is not only on the shelf at Powell's, it's a STAFF PICK. I am *screaming*. A colleague just sent me this photo.
