I had to take #redpill off my fetlife profile. When I added it 10ish years ago, it symbolized my willingness to learn a potentially unsettling or life-changing truth in facing my desires regarding the BDsM and M/s lifestyles. The words "red pill" and "red pilled" have developed such an ugly connotation now, that I can no longer associate myself with it!
Can you think of another symbol that shifted from one of strength to something ugly within your lifetime?
