@VikingChieftain this is my third year doing this so I'm starting to understand the car enthusiast community a bit. The amount of TLC they put into their cars is mind blowing to me.
My favorite owners and cars are the people who only have one or two of them and they identify tightly with them. Those people are not necessarily as wealthy as you might expect, but they take tremendous pride in sharing their cars.
When I arrived at 6am to touch base with people who were running the check-in station, there were so many of them waiting in line with polish cloths and feather brushes to buff out blemishes that you'd need a jeweler's loupe to notice.
Some of these people are driving cars that have been in their family for multiple generations. My friend's dad took his restored Ford Model A that was his first car and one that he got away with driving underaged as a boy because they lived out in the sticks.
I've been out for a ride in that car too... great experience, but not a comfy ride.
