Independent thinker exploring questions at the intersection of physics and cognition.
Sharing a conceptual preprint and hoping to learn from others in the field.

I’ve posted a conceptual preprint exploring a possible link between cosmological natural selection, constructor theory, and the unusually large counterfactual/imaginative capacity of human cognition.

Looking for critique before preparing a journal submission.

The Universe as a Counterfactual Explorer: A Constructor-Theoretic Account of Imagination in Cosmologically Selected Universes

This is a speculative but naturalistic theory linking human counterfactual imagination to cosmological-scale selection effects, integrating constructor theory, Smolin-style cosmological natural selection, and the emergence of cognitive systems capable of exploring counterfactual state spaces. This preprint is released for public comment and citation.
