Some ships sink, some dreams turn into nightmares, but all nightmares eventually end.
@Bogusmeatfactory What did he teach?
@JoeSiegler I didn't try this fun game until DOS Game Club covered it this May despite knowing about it ever since I saw it in a catalog in the '90's. I also discovered this year that I apparently had a shareware version of this game on a CD and never knew.
Last week, I finally started watching the Indiana Jones movies again (something I've been wanting to do ever since DOS Game Club covered Fate of Atlantis). I never realized how much the game took from the movies. I also finally resumed the Last Crusade adventure game last night -- I had been looking forward to this...
@Njord Yuzu isn't an option because everyone would choose her? :p
After about month, I've managed to lose four pounds (~1.8 kg) and reduce my body-fat readings by a percent. I was afraid my efforts hadn't been effective, but maybe I underestimated the progress I made...
@Tijn I don't recall ever hearing of years of training and multiple diplomas in the U.S., but learning to swim as a child always seemed normal. I think I was around eight-years-old when I learned to swim, and a classmate claimed I taught her how to swim during our fourth grade pool trip.
@Tijn I prefer e-mails and messengers to phones.
@aetataureate I'm not outside the U.S., but I think I heard in school that Confucianism might teach to prioritize family to the point of covering up crimes...
@croissant lol yeah remember when we nearly killed the flu? The thing that's been around for longer than any of us? And we did it in a month or so with a measure not even intended to target the flu?
That was brilliant, and I kinda hate everyone for not lasting that little bit longer.
@tsjost I think my high school biology teacher suggested warm water works a bit better with the soap, but I've always been afraid cold water wasn't good enough to get my hands clean. Thanks for the info :)
