Heh. Found out that #FoundryVTT offers the data displayed by the login page over a #websocket
So now my overview page of my foundry instances displays the dates of the next sessions and a count of the currently logged in users
It's hacky, but works
#rpg #rpgde #roleplaying #vtt #tabletop #webdev
(Reposted with hashtags to see if that makes a difference :P)
Still really annoyed about that. Who thought it was a good idea to introduce breaking incompatibilities into freaking make?
Going to spend the weekend probably trying to debug my failing makefiles. Already dreading it
And just migrated the Foundry VTT instances for my last two groups to v10
That's the one playing the piratey Skull and Shackles campaign, next session tomorrow, and the one doing a loose string of (now quite high-level) modules, next session Monday in a week
We caught and fixed two more bugs in the Pathfinder 1e system module too. Still need to open PRs for those
Ugh, GNU Make 4.4 got released a few days ago and it adds a lot of backwards incompatibilities :(
It completely breaks the snippet I use in all my projects to extract a git version string if available, so I have that information ready to use in the binary
The builds fail now 😿
It went well on Tuesday, no big issues. Shared Vision interacts weird with Darkvision, but that's apparently intentional for now. That was the group playing Rise of the Runelords
Migrated my second group, Carrion Crown, to Foundry v10 this week too and had a session there on Friday. Also no issues
