@briannawu I love the Sony system. Not super helpful if you are targeting Canon but the adapter does work well for Canon lenses on Sony apsc and full frame.
@targetdrone @CaptainMalu that’s so cute 🥰. We live in the city of Chicago with a huge window without blinds in our living room so the little guy always has some light available to him, he isn’t actually in complete darkness.
@targetdrone thank you for the inspiration! We have a tablet dashboard so a toggle on it combined with a button by the door combined could work. We don’t use a shared calendar currently, so I’m not sure creating one just for automations would result in any use. 🤔some combination of this will work for us.
@CaptainMalu 🤣 yes, he prefers it! Sometimes we do leave the TV or music on for him which doesn’t get turned off by an automation.
@targetdrone I think I should implement something like this. It’s just unfortunate that we will need to remember to use it. I’d probably also put it on a timer so that we just use it when leaving the guest in the house so that things still work when we leave the home with the guest.
@CaptainMalu we’ve got a dog so I think we’re out of luck with sensing motion.
@reduxe we’ve got a dog so I think motion sensing is unfortunately off the table.

This morning on my way to work a jeep slowly drifted through a stop sign and into the crosswalk. A person on their way to work l, wearing what looked like a nice suit, was crossing the street in front of the jeep. The driver of the jeep noticed their mistake and stopped like hallway into the crosswalk. The professionally dressed walker then began pounding on the hood denting the jeep. Someone isn’t having a good Wednesday 😱.

@zrail yea, I think something like that is a perfect idea as long as we’d remember to use it.
