tbh, I don't feel the least bit grim about it.
For one thing, for of all its problems -- and I share a lot of the critics' concerns -- it's actually *useful*. It's not crypto. It's not NFTs. It's not the metaverse. The paradigm works and has improved rapidly, in spite of its faults.
For another thing, the state of the world is grim. Finding something useful to dive into that actually works?
That's been a nice escape.
