English Dialect Dictionary Online 4.0

EDD Online is a sophisticated interface to access the rich contents of the most comprehensive English dialect dictionary ever published, the English Dialect Dictionary by Joseph Wright (1898-1905). It covers the main English-speaking countries worldwide from 1700 to 1903. Owing to the implementation of diverse software, it allows for combined, nested, quantified and mappable query results on linguistic and cultural issues.

Lots of happy faces at last week's ceremony where we celebrated those students who completed our Minor #DigitalScience in the past academic year. ☺️Congratulations! We were very happy to accompany you on a step of your journey at @uniinnsbruck and wish you all the best for the future!
This week, we handed out the Award for Digitalization Research at @uniinnsbruck, sponsored by BE-terna. This year's award went to three talented women from information systems, geography, and tunnel information modeling. Congratulations to Nina Hotter, Jacqueline Kowalski, and Larissa Loacker!

The DiSC is back from the retreat, with lots of new ideas and a reinvigorated team spirit. ☺️

A special thanks goes out to the team of the Obergurgl Conference Center for their hospitality during our stay!

The DiSC team is on retreat in beautiful Obergurgl this week, discussing new research ideas, ongoing projects and future collaborations - combined with some fun outdoor activities. 😎🥾 Here are some impressions:
This year’s Sommertechnikum MINT could again count on contributions from DiSC to spark female pupils’ curiosity in MINT subjects. A total of 37 participants from Austria, South Tyrol, Germany, Switzerland, and Romania learned about #DigitalScience at @uniinnsbruck and #GenerativeAI on two separate occasions.
