For my sins I listened to The Federalist podcast take on the shenanigans in the House. I learned that (according to them) Jim Jordan is a sell-out, that “establishment Republicans” like McCarthy & McConnell are part of a uniparty with the Democrats (who are still dangerous radical left Socialists, of course) and that these sorts of contested Speaker votes happen all the time [narrator: last time was 1923].
