Those are mandarins, clementines, there are many small orange varieties. Some peel easier, others not. Sizes vary. I grew up around orange trees and in Spain they’ve always been sold alongside regular oranges. I’ve always preferred them: smaller, easier to peel, and convenient to eat anywhere. Varieties change over time with market demand, pest resistance, and climate change.
