@DefendDemocracy spoke about 'Security and new technologies: facing AI and disinformation'.
Honoured to visit EU Commission HQ for an exchange with EU Commissioner Michael McGrath to provide input for the European Democracy Shield.
One of #DefendDemocracy's recommendations: align EU's #MFF budget with the recently agreed 1.5% #NATO defence spending to invest in values-based #tech sovereignty & societal #resilience to hybrid warfare.
For the first time since being invited by the three U.S. Missions (EU, NATO and Belgium) to their annual 4 July celebration, I have declined the invitation.
