June 6th 12:00 to 1:30p.m.: Join Central NH Indivisible and thousands of people across the country to send Citizens Bank a clear message: financing private prison and immigration detention facility operators The GEO Group and CoreCivic is bad for business. We have 10 signs - If you can make and bring one, please make it specific to this action: De-ICE Citizens Bank; Cages Aren't Communities; Citizens Bank - Stop Financing ICE Prisons; Citizens Bank + ICE = Human Rights Abuse; ICE Prisons Don't Strengthen Our Communities; Citizens Bank - Cut Ties With ICE Prisons; etc. Citizens Bank is bankrolling the country’s two largest prison companies that are earning record profits operating dozens of ICE detention facilities. While most major banks have cut ties with CoreCivic and The GEO Group, Citizens Bank is deepening its financial support for these companies, which are already holding more than half of the 70,000 immigrants currently in ICE detention centers across the country. The bank’s capital is supporting a deplorable ICE agenda that aims to fill detention centers with more than 100,000 people by next year. Even as it publicly touts its commitment to “strengthening our communities,” Citizens Bank has played a key role in helping The GEO Group and CoreCivic access more than $2.5 billion in financing, some of it approved earlier this year. This comes as the companies face a mountain of allegations, including forced labor and wrongful deaths due to understaffing and medical neglect at their facilities. We won't quietly stand by as Citizens continues to finance the private prison & ICE detention companies that are harming our communities. The 2019 exodus of banks from the industry in response to activism should be a reminder to us that our voices matter. Now it's time to use them. Visit www.de-icecitizensbank.org for more information and other actions you can take! Remember, we want to be in solidarity with workers including bank branch employees. Treat everyone with respect and do not harass or film employees. A core principle behind all Coalition events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. We expect hosts to ensure all participants in your event uphold this commitment. We recommend all participants review a safety and security resource before your event, such as https://indivisi.org/safety.

On Saturday, June 6th, D-Day, Visibility Brigades across the country will honor those who fought fascism on the beaches of Normandy by bringing that same spirit of resistance to bridges and overpasses across America. Join WWIN on the Route 2 East Exit 93 to wave to motorists and remind them that our parents and grandparents didn’t fight fascism just to have our country taken over by fascist billionaires. We draw others into the movement when they see our messages and know they are not alone. Our overpass will be connected to a thousand other overpasses on D-Day, with one mission: to help save our country. We honor those who gave everything in WWII, lift up FDR's Four Freedoms, and draw a clear line between the sacrifices made on those beaches and the moment we are living through right now. Democracy Day is built on joy, creativity, and community. Join us for a peaceful bridge visibility to smile and wave to Route 2 motorists and invite them to participate in the enduring power of the people. If you are a veteran, we would be especially honored if you could join us! A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. Please review the following logistics and safety resources. HANDS ACROSS LONG ISLAND - IN DEFENSE OF DEMOCRACY · Mobilize

PLEASE READ IN FULL: This Memorial Day, May 25th, join us for **Hands Across Long Island — In Defense of Democracy**, a powerful day of unity, community, and action. Forty years ago, *Hands Across America* inspired millions to come together in a shared call for compassion and hope. On this 40th anniversary, Long Island is creating its own moment of solidarity — not by physically joining hands as in 1986, but by joining voices, hearts, and purpose. Across Long Island, “We the People” groups, community organizations, advocates, families, friends, and neighbors will stand together to defend the values that connect us: equality, freedom, rights, choice, justice, and the power of every voice to be heard. This is an invitation to everyone who believes democracy is strongest when people show up for one another. Whether you are attending for the first time or have spent years advocating for change, your presence matters. Come be part of a visible, united movement for hope, dignity, and democracy — because together, we are stronger. We will gather in Hampton Bays at the address below and DIVIDE the attendees up into 3-5 small groups or more in Flanders & Hampton Bays. We ask that attendee be prompt. It is important to sign up for this event to keep up on all updates. This event is on Memorial Day, a somber day; it is in hope that signage for this day will be focused on encouragement for the defense of our democracy rather than criticism of the current administration. This is a local Indivisible events brought to you by indivisibleLI.org Please feel free to visit our website. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
