Board game developer muppet. All too frequent beer drinker. Ace  . He/Him.

Poorly updated portfolio @ https://www.paidiaic.com

Airecon Highlight! Unreasonably excellent; introducing many lovely peeps to all sorts of historical games, chilling with the Osprey crew, a preview of the excellent Molly House (I was a horrible tratior), and finally the ultimate: bluffing games in the pub. 11/10
My first lead game at Osprey has been announced publicly, and I couldn't be more spoiled by how amazing a title it is, nor the ride it's been so far. To work on a design this slick and smart, with art from an all-time pro like Roland, was a total delight. Now on BGG@ https://bit.ly/3wuPfi9

New Job Alert! I have been delivered as one (1) Game Developer to Osprey Games. So many exciting projects

They're here! The Austrians have arrived! (and the French...)

A big congratulations to Richard/Histogames, I'm sure this one feels like a victory from the jaws of defeat.

A fantastic little complilation of thoughts on scoring for party games https://www.thedarkimp.com/blog/2023/07/14/scoring-in-party-games/

I think the takeaway that scorings' primary function should really be to align behaviours is true; all good games have fun outside the act of scoring a point (though scoring being fun is no sin, it just shouldn't be the only fun!)

Momday night means Cardboard Emperors foe me. Really enjoyed trying out People Power for the first time. Very snappy for a COIN, takes some concerted effort to erode Govt patronage from the Reformers and NPA!
A note for any designers / aspiring designers near London. Every Friday, even gloriously sunny ones like the one we just had, PlaytestUK can be found sequestered in the cool of the national theater. Some pics from this week's session:

A lovely preview from Fred of a game I had a blast playing- but perhaps more relevant to all of tapletop.social - ConSim Game Jam 3 news!
