@weatherwest The 100-year storm science is extremely suspect. Probably because so many in industry have to account for it to get permits that they've low balled those numbers so often they're just s shadow of their former accuracy. Meanwhile flooding is far and away the most costly expense related to climate change.

Back in the day RWW had a purpose that came naturally from the personalities of you & Marshall and the rest of the team. @ricmac Curse of centralized systems of discovery is that what the user wants you to find for them is rarely aligned with what's most profitable for your business to find for them. And maybe the Fediverse is gonna win with decentralization, but I still think RSS has way more potential if everyone started using it in an fair and open-sourced way.

@mhucka Keep in mind transition to low sulphur fuel in cargo ships was so rapid and successful that the cloud forming ability of poisonous sulfur dioxide was lost, which increased temps this past year by 10%. Eliminating air pollution is essential though and we can't back off, need to keep moving forward!

@ricmac The other shoe yet to drop that clarifies this agenda is using AI to suppress news coverage that isn't fox news / part of their blockchain. As in, from the view of eliminating freedom of the press & creating a monopoly on news reporting, this is their dream come true, to which the AI developers are like sure, whatever illusion you want, as long as we get paid.
