@augieray I am a heart patient with 3 heart attacks under my belt along with nearly 63 years Earth. I am also fully vaccinated against Covid and every time another booster is available I'm there for my jab. If some people believe all of the fear mongering regarding Covid vaccines giving people heart attacks I will be quite willing to tell them that they do not know what they are talking about. As a person who has had their heart damaged by heart attacks I think I know that is rubbish.
@georgetakei he says that until that amount comes around and then he will say....no, I meant these people. Standard lying tactic.
@experiencersinternational I have had Cinnamon on my machine but switched to MX linux for a little while on the Xfce variant and really liked it. When I switched back to Mint I went with the Xfce and I really like it as the window tiling in Xfce is far superior to Cinnamon which I tried again in a VM but it is woeful. I am also running Xfce 4.18 on my Mint which I got by installing the Xubuntu PPA's and my machine is purring like a well fed kitten.
@experiencersinternational what about giving Linux Mint 21.1 a try but I would suggest the Xfce version. You have nothing to lose and a possibly fully functioning good Linux machine. I would make a bootable usb with ventoy, copy the Mint iso onto it and boot into the live environment to see what happens. Ventoy is at https://www.ventoy.net/ just follow the directions, its easy to do but probably best with at least an 8GB usb.
Ventoy

Ventoy is an open source tool to create bootable USB drive for ISO files. With ventoy, you don't need to format the disk again and again, you just need to copy the iso file to the USB drive and boot it.

@experiencersinternational why would you fail putting Linux on it? Linux would resurrect it and give it life (depending on what Linux DE you were putting on). Do it.
@BrentToderian I'm an Australian who has lived in the Netherlands for 11 years and I can say we do a lot of bike riding here. You want shopping, leave the car at home and bike or walk. Big American gas guzzlers are not common her as they are totally impractical and pretty much useless here for the most part.

I gave up 15 years on Twitter and 22,000 followers. I used my anniversary to invite others to follow me to Mastodon, and I pointed out that every tweet is a donation to Musk. We know what he is and what he's doing. He gave Michael Flynn his account back on the anniversary of the Jan. 6 insurrection.

I started my #Twitter exodus as a boycott against Musk. Now, I'm thrilled to be here. I miss a few things, but Mastodon is just built better. I feel like it makes me (and you) better, too.

@ariegoldshlager welcome to Mastodon
@vs but....but...but, land of the free. Why would anyone want a (non)heath(non)care system like America?
@thelinuxEXP you're welcome Nick 👍
