Yo, I’m Daz. Data privacy consultant by trade, tech sovereignty nerd by choice.

What does that mean? I think Ireland should run on Euro tech, Irish (solar) energy, and European freedoms.

So I’m planning on beginning a solo #belfast2corkrun (and ride) from belfast city starting August 2026.

#mastodon is a user platform, not a tech platform. The masto brand should be about human stories, not about distributed fediverse server architecture.

Eg. Why Masto is important to users? What part has it played in their personal journey? How did they hear about the platform?

Let's put featured user stories - front and centre. People engage with people. People listen to stories.

@JanetPHorner for a pan-societal issue like housing. The government must share some responsibility IMO.

Personally, I think it's the imbalance in societal wealth distribution. A direct result of siphoning off billions of ill gotten #bigtech tax avoidance cash into our state coffers.

This income fuels an uber-wealthy at the top with almost zero trickle-down. Like the Portuguese during the conquistador era.

We are 'poor because we are rich'. 🚩
