We had a good run in this house, helped by our locale and our eager and often vaccination philosophy, but #COVID has finally arrived. All are well enough. The children are functionally asymptomatic. I remain negative, in a bit of a live test of the efficacy of the #bivalent booster.

As per usual, great article from Daniel Willingham on the science of learning, why it is not intuitive, and how it must/should be taught. I wish more education preparation programs incorporated research on the science of learning. I'd love to teach a course like that at the UNC School of Education.

In April 1938, Guy Callendar published his seminal paper showing that Earth’s land areas had warmed over the previous 50 years.

He also suggested that man-made CO₂ emissions had caused around half of the observed warming.
