@Hawkwinter So apparently, I'm not supposed to report my problem there. Kainoa said "this is a deployment specific issue, not a software issue."

I have no idea what this means. Is there a place where regular users can get help with Firefish or not?

I've been waiting patiently for three weeks, barely able to use Calckey/Firefish since, but now I feel that there is no way to get help. 😭

I'm trying to post my issue there, but I'm not sure how to use it really.
It's all full of technical jargon and such... Can non-developers even use it? It really seems aimed at developers only.

(it's asking for my role, and well... "basic user who's not a software developer" is not an option).

@kainoa I understand that, but Firefish does need a support team, and right now, you're the only "face" we can contact.

My problem hasn't been solved in about three weeks (and it makes Calckey/Firefish barely usable for me), and I have no other way to ask for help but to tag you, despite the fact that I know you're too busy moving the whole thing to the new domain.

How stupid Elon Musk is?

Well, you probably already know the answer to that question: very stupid.

It gets worse.

For those not terminally online like me, he's.. right now... as I'm typing... rebranding Twitter. Yes, the blue bird is already gone, the name is pretty much gone too, now it'll be X.

Can you imagine that? Some companies would kill (or spend billions) to have a logo and a name that's so totally unique and instantly recognizable. I mean, a verb was even created from the thing. How many companies can say that a new word has appeared in the language thanks to them? Nowadays? not many... To tweet and retweet... To google... that's the only two I can think of.

The guy paid 44 billion dollars to own these and he's throwing them away...

But... It gets worse...

See, Japan is Twitter's second biggest market (51 million users, that's about 40% of the population, the other day I polled my students, and about 90% use Twitter)... and to be able to be active in Japan, foreign companies need to create special subsidiaries that are based in Japan (that's how Yahoo Japan is still big, that Lawson is huge, while completely forgotten in the US and more).

Well, I guess that means Twitter Japan will be rebranded X Japan. No big deal, right? No big deal if you're unaware - like Musk is - that XJapan is one of the biggest rock bands in the country and that their name is very much trademarked.

Musk didn't even double-check before making the move...

Yoshiki (the band's leader) has already reminded the world that yes, they own the name.

Does it mean Twitter Japan will survive Twitter just like Lawson, Yahoo Japan and Toys R' Us Japan did, among others?
