@MarilynPF ....so when Meatloaf released Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell, it had that song on it, Objects In the Rearview Mirror...and I sat and argued and argued that that wasn't what the mirror actually said... Because sometimes I can't turn off the "literal" switch! 😂

@ewdocparris I LOVE how easy Mastodon makes it to add alt text. You have to really go out of your way to do so on the commercial apps. I like to tell myself that writing interesting and informative captions for my friends with screen readers has made me a better writer. It has certainly made me more aware of what language I use to describe things.

Yup, I feel this. It's how I keep tabs on my parents' creepy HOA who occasionally try to ban walking your dog while wearing a hoodie.

And it's how exactly how men treat women in like...any situation, but especially when it comes to STEAM and STEAM-adjacent subjects.

But, hey, at least they're not ALSO randomly showing you their dicks, so there's that, I guess? Sorry that I can't offer a solution, only commiseration.
