@Virensere I was taught when giving critique, to "Sandwich" the negative comments. Start with the strengths of the piece, explain the issues that need fixing, then finish the comment with more strengths. It leaves the recipient feeling more confident knowing they're one the right path and they often listen better, rather than putting up a mental wall against a negative comment. Seems to work, and it would be nice if it were more universal. Some people can only focus on the negative, I guess.
I've got to admit, I find the way people treat a new year rather strange. It's a random, human-created, arbitrary designation. If you want to improve yourself, just fucking do it.

I just spent a night in the Sleep Lab, getting covered in wires and sensors, and getting a CPAP mask strapped up. Not a very pleasant night but I am hoping, pleading that this stuff will help me. I have wasted so much of my life just being exhausted.
