the reason is convoluted so I had to screenshot my thought process last night.

It's not been fun, and I doubt I will ever pick up a pencil again.
But now I can go on the right path eventually.

Made a ref for the bnuuy. It's a chibi ref to get the patterns down (cropped from this post) but I hope I can make a detailed, actual style one someday.
