Generative AI is psychotic and perverted, just like the people whose data it was trained on.

The prompt for this was "woman with a huge hooked nose that goes over her mouth," but the output appears to be "woman with a huge hooked mouth that goes over her nose."

Apple released a new container runtime and it does not disappoint. Sub-second startup times and memory-bound operations are 30x Docker performance. It supports AMD64 through Rosetta2. I can't wait for Kubernetes on Apple silicon using native containers. This has enormous potential when you consider the efficiency of Apple's memory-compute interface on the M silicon. This could turn Mac Minis into AI beasts.

If you needed one more reason to move away from VMware, the #ESXicape vulnerability is bad, really bad. It's made worse by a fundamentally insecure design, where all access is granted to an actor from within the management network. VMware is a black box, while OpenStack, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and KVM/QEMU are open source. Give me libre or give me death.

Use one Virtual Machine to own them all — active exploitation of VMware ESX hypervisor escape ESXicape

Yesterday, VMware quietly released patches for three ESXi zero day vulnerabilities: CVE-2025–22224, CVE-2025–22225, CVE-2025–22226. Although the advisory doesn’t explicitly say it, this is a…

Here's a reminder that if you are wondering what's going on in Ukraine the official government website has biased but basically accurate information and news available:

I asked Deepseek for information on Tienanman square and got back some very disturbing imagery
The look on my cat’s face when I brush him with his favorite hairbrush looks like the way I want my romantic relationships to feel like. Simple pleasures can lead to such fantastic contentment.

I said from the very beginning that the purchase of Twitter was a plan between the Saudis and Elon Musk to control the narrative of the ‘24 election while promoting Donald Trump and the traitorous band of sociopathic sycophants doing his dirty work.

I hate it that I keep being proven so right about this shit.

My neighborhood is a free-for-all as far as fireworks go on the Fourth of July. Cracks and bursts and BIG ASS bombs were going off literally like popcorn for several hours right outside my window. Even with noise canceling headphones the biggest booms were rattling my insides. Some of the explosions were big enough to shake the power lines and dim the lights, I imagine that’s what it feels like to be shelled by mortars.

Now that it’s over I feel like kicking back to a patriotic film about this great country. I know just the one.

I wonder if this for-pay OpenAI app generated its own 5-star review? It starts out positive but then devolves into nonsensical ravings. Which is pretty much what these things seem to do.
Yup
