If it lights up, blinks, beeps, bloops, emits noxious fumes or sparks, I'm probably into it.

Modern or vintage computing nerd. I'm also a cat dad, and mediocre thrash metal guitarist. I'm also secretly three very angry racoons in a trench coat.

Too much rain. I would like to file a complaint please.
Sometimes if I zone out for a while or get really high, my nerd ass starts to think about The Internet as a concept and I'm like... woah. I can't believe this exists. Hello people around the world. Shoutout to ocean cables.

Sad day deleting all my comments off reddit. Since 90% of my comments are all technical in nature, I've always left them up to help people.

However, I cannot allow them to be monetized any longer. I know there are backups of Reddit somewhere, but I still have to try.

Wonder how many AI models have ingested them already anyways.

It's amazing how electronics fail. It's even more amazing the way electro-mechanical things can fail.

Takes intermittent fault to a whole new level.

It's weird commuting for work again. It's also crazy how different people behave on my commute in verses my commute home. It's nice to be able to listen to a whole album again without headphones though!

The wireless salespeople at my Costco have gotten so aggressive the entire electronics area has become annoying to even go near. They need to figure that out.

Someone knows me well, and these appeared on my desk today.

non-tech person: I don't trust that tech.

tech user: it's fine, I don't even think about it

tech professional: I absolutely don't trust that tech.

Someone I know is taking a 4 month "class" claiming they will be a certified cybersecurity analyst afterwards with a 3 year job placement.

They are saying they will have certs from CompTIA, Protexxa and Cisco at the end of it. They can't tell me off hand exactly what the certs are, but they think its at least Security+.

Am I off thinking that is completely insane and probably a racket? I'd imagine they will probably gear them up to sit for S+?

As a heads up, RSV is no joke. I'm just on the downswing now.
