Recently I've been more and more upset about negativity toward other people's art and interests. If someone is excited for something, let them be excited. If you think it's an inferior product, you're entitled to your opinion, but to call someone a n00b who doesn't know any better because they're excited about something is rude and disrespectful.
Thought for a future character. A Dwarven "battle chanter" . Basically a bard/fighter mc whose instrument is rhythmic strikes upon his shield while rapping battle chants. Of course I'm really bad at of the cuff flow but it sounds like a fun idea 😀
Ok, so looking at getting a new gaming group together, and it got me to thinking about GMing, so I'm going to throw out a discussion topic: how do you feel about behind the screen rolls? Secret spot/search checks, etc.
Like them, dislike them, you tell me. I have my own mixed opinions but I'll wait to see what other people think.
So, my mom got this out of storage and brought it down to me at Thanksgiving. 21 years ago I painted my first 3d "miniature". He's ceramic, I painted him in the evenings at a ceramic shop owned by a friend of mine mom's. Battle Brother Forscale put in an appearance too so you can see just how huge this beastie is
Coming soon to a hobby desk near me
... KALLADRAX REBORN!
Touched up the highlights on Lauren Silversail, now to decide what her skin needs....
I've been painting 28mm minis since 1999, And it wasn't until the last year that I came to terms with the fact that brush size is much less important than how sharp a tip it will hold when loaded with paint. This past weekend I painted the eyes on a 28mm elf using a Princeton Snap! Liner brush in size 1. To put that in perspective, at the base of the bristles they are bigger around as her whole eye. But because it holds a very sharp point, that doesn't matter.
WIPpity wip. Finally found a good color blend for ginger hair. Need to get the skin and face done before coming back in with some shadows and final highlights but actually happy with the color
Looking for a friendly miniatures crowd and stuff
