'm not going to say that I'm learning Python just to write an RSS tool that I can't find anywhere else... but that would be one of the top three reasons.
One functional proof of concept in place. Now to figure out how to send it data from Feedparser.
Only a Systems Librarian would be excited about discovering a repository where someone wrote some Python code to talk to an ILS via SIP2.
Fortunately, I'm a Systems Librarian so... 😀
Need a copy of an article from a research journal or professional publication, but it's imprisoned behind a paywall? Unpaywall might fix that for you. It searches for free and legal copies of the article that have been archived online in repositories. These articles are often uploaded by the authors to online archives, but they don't exactly advertise those repositories. Check it out at:
I walked away from PC gaming years ago when the cost of a video card started to match the cost of a console. I had a look at one of the GTA games on the PC and the hoops a friend had to jump through to play it.
NOPE.
Me, I like sticking a shiny disc in a machine and playing a game. Much easier. 🙂

My son just said he wants to get a tortoise and name him Turt Reynolds. Upon further questioning he didn't know who Burt Reynolds is or why Tom Shelleck is obviously the better name.
