After 5 years of thinking about #modular workflows & learning synthesis, I've finished designing my 1st modular synth

It's a duophonic #synthesizer (or polysynth, dep. on the patch) that will also support my bass/guitar w/ effects & side-chain

The middle is the "finished" version. The top image represents the 1st version I'll have running (hopefully by this summer). The bottom is what it will look like at home in the studio, where Zoia & #Bastl Softpop2 live on a free-roam allotment (desk).

To those working on a masterpiece, or just trying to make it through Monday, I sincerely recommend Mr Grover Washington Jr...

@dog 😍
@dog Aika was one of my first videogame crushes. But every time I remember that, I also remember how extremely upset I was that Aika and I didn't get to push Vigoro off the funicular to his death. That's like, my one major narrative gripe about that game. That dude didn't deserve a redemption arc.
@dog cuuuuute! Yeah adding subtitle functionality... I definitely don't even know where to start with that Google-wise.
@dog what!? I missed that too, which is weird because I'm 100% hyped on that game at all times and generally get excited even seeing the title in text, tweet, or toot form.

#Introductions!

Hi Mastodon; just joined, excited to be here!

I'm a multidisciplinary designer, architecturally trained, & for the past 5 years have been doing narrative design consulting, primarily for videogames. I do this through Silverstring Media, which I helped co-found, & which also makes #altgames like http://glitchhikers.com/

Expect media analysis, & also general excitement about 🎨 ⛊ī¸ ✍ī¸ đŸ•šī¸ đŸŽŧ 🍸 🚲 â›ĩ 🎴

@bombsfall let me know how it is! I want to get some manuals to read, too. There's also a rad & weekly de-escalation training session in Vancouver run by a group called "The Peacebearers" that's all about getting disrupters away from protests by pretending to engage in coversation. before they can start shit. I saw them work at our Dyke March & I joined w/ them to get some TERFs to go away.

The combo seems like a "I can be your angel / devil" approach to resistance. 😇 😈

There's quite a lot of Stockholm Syndrome surrounding Twitter. I certainly feel it. I would be half the person I am now, and half as informed as I am now if I wasn't using Twitter.

I wouldn't have known that St. Louis has been protesting daily for a month about its most recent police shooting.

I would have know that Nazis showed up in my fucking town to harass an anarchists book sale.

But to conflate the growth I've had on through Twitter to somehow be caused by Twitter is silly.

@animalphase
People can gather in spaces that are congruent in size & mission w/ their communities, as opposed to everyone in a single monolithic space, where a community of Nazis can find vulnerable folks to harass on the same platform with a few keystrokes...
