Vampire Survivors is really fun, but sometimes it gets so wildly colorful that I can barely tell what is going on...

I spent 3 days trying to debug a board, but I couldn't get i²c to work no matter what I tried. Turns out the pin diagram I was given was made incorrectly (the pins were flipped 😠), and I wasted multiple days re-soldering, looking at traces, trying alternate wiring, etc. FML 😂

Some trans women breastfeed and conservatives have a LOT of feelings about that, which they're determined to make all of our problem.

For Assigned today I wrote about the latest right-wing meltdown over trans people doing a thing, compared it to coverage of cis adoptive mothers using the same method for inducing lactation trans moms do, and dived into the science of lactation (which for me is always the most fun part). #trans #journalism #science

Trans Women Breastfeeding: Behind the Conservative Meltdown — Assigned

The Newman-Goldfarb Protocols are known to help people who didn’t give birth to breastfeed. The right can’t handle the fact that it works for trans moms too.

@jerry I hope you had a rootin' tootin' good time on your prematurely ended break.
Working on a thing

NEW: A hacktivist group stole and leaked gigabytes of data from the Texas city of Fort Worth.

Breach does not seem to be very serious. City says data is mostly related to work orders to make repairs.

The group, which goes by SiegedSec, said they did it to protest the ban of gender affirming care.

“Did you hear that? :3 *schlop schlop* Its the sound of gay furries fucking the U.S government~!,” the group wrote in its announcement.

@lcamtuf Actually on second read, the ordinance is just constructed incredibly poorly. There are so many appositives used that it is almost impossible to understand. They seem to want to ban any person from doing those things, but it literally says "[...] for any person except a 'peace officer' [...], in the performance of duties [.]" The places where they put the commas don't make any sense; it isn't clear if they mean any person engaged in duties ("for any person[,]except a peace officer, in performance[...]"), or whether they mean police officers engaged in duties. You can't just put commas wherever you want, but the people that wrote this clearly didn't know that.
@lcamtuf That says it's unlawful to use such devices "in the performance of duties or a person acting in self-defense or the defense of others[.]" So long as you are shooting the nerf gun for recreational purposes, that ordinance doesn't apply. It does ban slingshots more broadly whenever they are used recklessly however.
