@hammerheadcorvette Here's a screenshot of text editors on my left monitor to give you an idea:
@hammerheadcorvette For simple snaps, like 50/50, for sure: keyboard shortcuts all the way!
@hammerheadcorvette I have more specific layouts I prefer that Gnome doesn't have built in. For example, on my main monitor I like a tall and skinny zone at the very right of my monitor for snapping chat apps like Facebook Messenger or Signal.
And my left monitor is in the vertical orientation; I like to have 3 rows evenly spread from top to bottom, so I can have an app at the top, middle, and bottom. Gnome doesn't seem to let me snap them this way on that monitor.
Just found the best extension on Gnome for creating custom snap layouts! Check out gSnap:
