Introducing Refine 0.5.0, the GNOME Tweaks alternative leveraging the data-driven and composition paradigms. This version re-adds the Document font option, and renames "Middle Click Paste" to "Middle Click to Paste Text" with an accompanying subtitle.

Thanks to @CodedOre, 0.5.0 also adds the capability to rearrange the titlebar's window buttons. This new feature also lets you add the minimize and maximize buttons.

While we thoroughly tested right-to-left (RTL) direction and keyboard navigation with a screen reader, it's worth noting that we're no experts. We welcome feedback from those who use Refine in RTL and/or with a keyboard and screen reader.

You can get Refine 0.5.0 right now on Flathub.

Refine

Tweak various aspects of GNOME

One of the first things I did now after completing my Bachelor:

For #Refine by @TheEvilSkeleton I have added a new setting, allowing you to freely arrange the window buttons to a layout of your liking.

Hello everyone, it's been a while since I posted an update here. Almost two years...

Since I've stopped the work on #NewCaw, I have concentrated mostly on university and struggling with my lack of concentration.
However, I have now finished my Bachelor of Science!

Since due to various reasons I will only start my Master of Science later that year, I have a few months in which I want to do a few projects to figure out a direction for myself.
So, hopefully I post a few more updates here soon!

Development of #Cawbird #NewCaw is suspended indefinitely.

@CodedOre was leading the rewrite, but is too busy with university commitments - https://mastodon.online/@CodedOre/110395875840491711
@ibboard was considering stepping down but hadn't announced anything.

Musk has killed Twitter as a platform, so NewCaw's original focus on multi-platform support is dead. There are other Mastodon clients available. The dev team don't have the time/interest to build another.

I have been considering it for a while now and I think it's best to officially step aside from this project. I could assist if someone wants to continue the work, but I will not continue the main work on it.

Hey everyone, just to update you on the situation with #NewCaw.

Since two months, I'm in a semester where I work full-time on a project in the university full time, meaning I spend pretty much each full weekday on it.
This meant I had not a lot of time to work on #NewCaw. Adding to that, I'm lacking the motivation to continue the work, as I'm not using Mastodon much at the time. Therefore, when I have time again for projects outside of university, I want to focus on a new one.

This week we released GNOME 44 “Kuala Lumpur”! 🥳 To find out more, and to see what else happened this week, you should check out the latest issue of #ThisWeekInGNOME!

So, it's been a while since my last update, but now I have something to show again!

A bit ago I made a overhaul on the data class showing timelines, so we can make it more flexible.

One example for the added flexibility:
We now display pinned posts in the details page of the user!

What a week! A new issue of #ThisWeekInGNOME is now online!

Just before #TWIG, I finished initial support for displaying content warnings on posts.

It's still not fully as I like it, but it's already a good step.
