100 Days 100 Actions

100 days of action leading up to the 2024 US Presidential Election to get out the vote and protect democracy.

Really enjoying this book - The Existential Toolkit for Climate Justice Educators- as I prepare my summer class materials. Especially sections on connecting hope to action, which comes up a lot in my public speaking. #climatejustice #climateaction https://www.existentialtoolkit.com

Alrighty. We are ~100 days from the election. 🗳️

I’m committing to doing *something* every day for democracy. Will you join me?

Donating. Phone banking. Talking to my neighbors. Writing postcards. Donating again. Talking to friends. Posting on socials. Hanging up yard signs. Something every day. More ideas?

Calcidiscus leptoporus - a coccolithophore found drifting in the Southern Ocean. #Coccolithophores are single celled organisms which perform photosynthesis for the creation of energy, which in turn produces the oxygen that we breathe. They construct many intricate plates of armour - made of calcium carbonate - which they cover themselves with to protect their delicate internal cell from predation.

European court rules human rights violated by climate inaction

"We are not made to sit in a rocking chair and knit," said one of the older Swiss women who won.

Just a stunning day at Bodega Marine Lab today as I hosted local Scouts and their parents, to work on an Oceanography merit badge. ♥️🌊🤩
