I live in the UK where we are facing a similar predicament. A lot of people vote on class lines and for the same two parties based on the lesser-of-two-evils because they don’t want to waste their vote and give the worse party power.

The difference is that our two main establishment parties (the Conservatives and Labour) have catastrophically fucked things up over the past fifteen years, and now a MAGA-like far-right party headed by Nigel Farage is being overwhelmingly pushed by the press.
