BookWyrm gets its book data from @wikidata, perhaps you could get film & TV data from the same source?

I just found out one of my sources got killed.

I'm sad, but I'm not gonna wax poetic about how he was a good guy. I’m not sure he was.

But he was a great example of how broken the system is. And he did a lot to help expose that even without knowing it.
