@pbump CDC firearm-related homicide rates by race… These are the victims of gun violence. If white ppl had higher rates, we’d have reasoned gun regulations tomorrow. Completely inexcusable national shame.

And amidst highest US gun death rates on record. For most recent CDC data: 73% increase in firearm-related homicide from 2010-2020 (20% increase in suicide by firearm) . 2021 is record high too. Firearms involved in 79% of homicides in 2020. A national tragedy. IT’S THE GUNS!
