Puff the Magic HaterMost folks I know who are worried about AI aren’t worried about these programs becoming self aware and oppressing us. That’s not a thing. We’re worried about all the ways these systems will ramp up existing inequalities and further obliterate our shared reality as human beings. That’s already happening.

@pokateo I work for a non-profit (ilsr.org) who's mission is to fight against corporate control by building local power. My work is focused primarily on Internet and digital equity (communitynets.org). I love that I have nation-wide datasets to work with (albeit flawed) and that the maps and resources I produce help folks understand issues at a more local level.
@pokateo OMG I had this same issue on a project! It. Was. Infuriating. I had no idea ESRI had reserved words. 😖
