Raised on Cheerwine, grilled pimento cheese sandwiches, and punk rock in the Queen City, I escaped a right-wing, Bible-thumping family and never looked back.

Every day is Halloween.☠️🎃

Making North Carolina bluer is one of my lifelong missions.🩸🦷

I woke up too early and checked MSNBC. Now how can I get back to sleep? 😃 In Georgia, the late Rep. John Lewis’ district put Biden in the lead overnight! There’s still more to count and they’re very Biden-friendly areas. Yes, if the separation between them falls within the range where Trump can demand a recount, we all know he will. But for now, I have to listen to my favorite Georgia musicians. https://youtu.be/0yPagRrAgIU

A friend sent me this meme. 🧛🏻😂 #CountEveryVote

This #SongOfTheDay goes out to the people who keep voting against our and their best interests.

“God money's not looking for the cure
God money's not concerned about the sick among the pure
God money, let's go dancing on the backs of the bruised
God money's not one to choose”

People who place the economy over COVID-19 are stll missing a basic fact.

Until COVID-19 is defeated, the economy won't be back. Even with a vaccine we will still need to be masked up and distant for awhile. A sick and dying population at these numbers cannot and will not participate in the economy. Yet too much of the population doesn't get it.

Coronavirus cases exceed 100,000 in one day for the first time, even as the nation is split on the pandemic vs. the economy:

Coronavirus cases exceed 100,000 in one day for the first time, even as the nation is split on the pandemic vs. the economy

As with just about everything else about Tuesday’s election, voters broke into even camps over whether to tackle the virus or reopen the economy.

@TonyStark Unreal that Trump got such low marks on COVID19 and people still don't make this simple connection.

@NatashaRomanoff
P.S. People waiting for "the revolution" to come: 4 more years of Trump will negate that possibility.

Waiting for the sick, dying, and families trying to scrape a life together won't be joining you.

It's not welcome or cool to want to make human sacrifices out of your pet policy thoughts. War isn't something anyone should set as a goal.

People said the revolution would come 4 years ago. Guess what?

@NatashaRomanoff
If people wanted to make a statement with that, they sure made it.

That statement is they don't care about people who need the ACA to have it, they don't care about the environment, they don't care about voting rights, and they don't care about civil/human rights.

They're going to have a rough time building a coalition with all of the people they screwed over while the country implodes.

You can't reinvent a dead planet.
