Growing Rhone Varietals on the west slopes of Mt Veeder in the Moon Mt AVA. Local flora and fauna of the Mayacamas. Fire info if anything gets close. Also pics of service dog puppies when we have them. K6GSM
***ADVICE FROM WILDFIRE LAND: DO NOT EVER call 911 to ask if you should evacuate. If you are unsure or feel unsafe, EVACUATE. Dispatchers know nothing about your situation and have near zero situational awareness of where you live, the terrain, nearby dangers. Just GO.
@cheriecreationstruck Here is a baby Bewick's Wren who was learning to fly in my workshop on Monday
Postcard from the Valley of the Moon (Sonoma Valley).
@heri0n About 3 feet in diameter and 4 feet high. Planted them about 10 years ago. They are varieties that can handle the California climate. They do still complain regularly that our soil isn’t acidic enough.
The Blueberry gulag paid off. We got about 3 quarts of blueberries off of our 2 bushes

After watching the fledglings learning to fly around the workshop for a few days, I’m now officially an empty nester 🤣
Looks like Jewel is done with her afternoon playtime #dogsofmastodon
Oops! Not so fast! They came back to the nest!
I get my tool belt back! The Bewick’s wren babies have fledged. There was one egg that didn’t hatch. The bird photo is one of the babies.
@czarbucks A little while. They go off to their puppy raisers on the 14th.

@CavedaleRhones I miss having blueberry bushes - I wonder if they would grow okay in a pot...
Wow how big are your bushes?
