Turned off my YouTube watch history and everything is better. ๐Ÿ˜ No home feed or Shorts feed so I can't get sucked in.
I just received a very special baby gift; my good friend who was a big crocheter unexpectedly passed away in April before I could tell her I was pregnant. Her husband collaborated with her mum, who has made us a pram blanket from her big yarn collection and also made us a cardigan. ๐Ÿฅน
Hey Duolingo how about I don't do that. #privacy

(sorry about the dust we've been having work done on the house and it's got out of control)

We're optimistic the drives are intact but need to test 'em.

Just inspected the fruit bowl. My husband finally bought some fruit for himself.
Car seat install success! Now everyone can stop telling me I need a bigger car. ๐Ÿ˜†

Currently #reading - After the Quake by Haruki Murakami and The Bee Sting by Paul Murray.

I'm not purposely reading mostly Japanese fiction but I'm trying to get out of my reading slump (and clear some physical books from my house) by getting through my shortest novels and all the translated ones seem to be the shortest!

And then The Bee Sting came up in my reservations on BorrowBox and it's over 500 pages. I'm enjoying it but I am struggling with the lack of speech marks.

Currently #reading - Goodbye Tsugumi by Banana Yoshimoto (Awake is still my favourite novel of hers.)

Goodbye Tsugumi by Banana Yoshimoto

Banana Yoshimoto's novels of young life in Japan have made her an international sensation. Goodby...

This dude in Aldi was shaped like a friend, but like, a friend from a very weird dream.

I made a test run coffee cake for my mum's birthday at the weekend (making the "proper" one on Wednesday for her birthday on Thursday) and it's awesome! But it was my first time making buttercream and working with icing sugar and my kitchen is now coated (not as much as my poor hand mixer was though)

#Cake #Recipe: https://charlotteslivelykitchen.com/coffee-cake/ - I used Nescafรฉ Azera decaf americano powdered instant coffee
