Note the defense mechanisms (plural): most obvious are how he engages in deflection via blame shifting, AND combines it with the denigration of women "girl boss" AND written in a way where he presented his rationalizations (aka twisted take) as somehow objective….

okay, timeline cleanse. I love this particular small canyon. Last time I went out to it, I lost the trail a couple of times due to snowy patches. Today the trail was fine. I think I like it so much because you're going up and down typical foothills terrain and you come around a bend and boom, it spits you out into a long windy dry river bed, with a bunch of these picturesque large boulders- many more than in this shot. And you walk out along the river bed 1/4 mile or so to a dif. trail.

If for some reason I had to choose between hanging out with certain people, and this wonderfully weird thing, there's no contest, the tree would win every time. It lives not far beyond the real start of Domingo Baca canyon in the Sandias. No wind in the canyon, the trail was great, the creek crossings weren't bad at all… lovely spring day hike, and a good work out, too!

last boost: some of us have been beating this drum for a -long- time. I can remember in the 90s being the outlier in my friend group of highly educated (mostly white) and very liberal women grad school students. They laughed and said I was paranoid and told me, that no, the press leaned liberal. So here's a chart I put together a couple of years ago

Bonus, the blurry clump of stuff up in the branches of another tree to the left of the main tree is a porcupine.They hang out in trees during the day in this area to avoid predation by coyotes. I had taken several photos of the tree before I noticed it. It appeared to be fast asleep. -end
