As a Leafs fan, it kinda sucks that I can't be as whiny and defeatist about the team as my child is right now because I need to set a good example for my child instead of behaving the way I feel right to my bones.
Still kinda stunned that we've hit a point where companies will openly disavow their own programs for marginalized communities as "corporate virtue signaling."

A Canadian lawfirm is looking to sue a huge cross-section of the game industry in a class-action suit accusing them of fostering gaming addictions.

I think this firm is overstating the harm being done and the number of people addicted to gaming.

That said, the industry has been designing games for infinite engagement, refused to accept gaming addiction exists, and thumbed its nose at lawmakers asking for transparency.

Something has to change.

The strange, sad story of Ubisoft’s Sad Room - The Logic

Ubisoft Montreal, once the jewel in the gaming giant’s crown, is struggling. Sources say talent dilution and retention are partly to blame. And then there’s the Sad Room.

The bottom line is that people deserve better.
New Comcast patent application opens up a whole can of worms about the way people watch movies and TV shows. One of those things that some people would probably find genuinely helpful but also contributes to the wide-scale erosion of media literacy and critical thought.
I know people complain but for nostalgia reasons, I'm kind of happy Nintendo has done so little to change the Switch UX over the years. I would get a kick out of poking around the Xbox 360 blades interface again, but I updated my system past that long ago.

New Unlosing Writer post: Meta has lost more than $59 billion on AR/VR since 2020. What else could Mark Zuckerberg have put that money towards instead? Here's a (non-comprehensive) list.

Meta's money well spent

Meta continues to burn money on the metaverse like it's going out of style, even though by all accounts it has been entirely out of style for some time now. The company lost another $4.4 billion on its Reality Labs AR/VR division in the last quarter, the company
