It's pretty weird having 157k followers on Pinterest, a having a really solid following on Twitter (until dick head banned me for "evading suspension" aka banned for my IP address and Twitter/X being convinced I'm a bot) to not getting a single like or view on Toots. So weird.
I can't say I knew very much about Benjamin Franklin, but based on what I now know, one of my favourite quotes has to retire from my vernacular.
"A false friend and a shadow attend only while the sun shines" was said by a man who owned and traded slaves as though it was nothing, worked for colonialists internationally and helped colonise America in the first instance.

Nb. I am clearly a learner when it comes to the founding fathers of the USA. All I know is, none of it plays well retrospectively. Hell the entire concept of the USA doesn't "play well" now.
