A late-life linguist with failing sight now revelling in learning to type in #Braille and VoiceOver on iPhone! Still wondering what is true #Zen
@RyukoRazz I would want to be able to use a braille keyboard or braille display right from the login screen without ever having to touch a Kwity keyboard!!
@brian_hartgen If the Hable one can be placed on a flat surface, then one hand would be sufficient because you only need to press some of the vertical braille cell dot and sometimes them together with one of the vertical bars of.7 or eight so that should work I use VoiceOver and therefore think of it as a braille device.
@brian_hartgen I use my Hable one to unlock my iPhone when it is sped up in my pocket and you can do everything on your iPhone using Hable one so long as you have an ear earpiece in your ear whether wired or Bluetooth. Voice control can also unlock your phone but that is unwise in public settings. Fingers crossed for you both! Harry.

This week on Technically Working:
#TechnicallyWorking
We talk AI that helps, AI that might wipe your hard drive, and the one rule we’re sticking to:
If it can take action on your system, run it on a Raspberry Pi first.

Also in this episode:
• First stock purchases and accessible investing apps
• Claude Bot and the risks of giving AI real access
• Cookie, a voice-friendly recipe app that’s surprisingly great for blind cooks thanks to @doubletap
• Using AI to organize notes and documents automatically
• Why some Mastodon servers are blocking AI-built apps
• A growing return to Linux on the desktop

If you’re curious about practical AI, cautious experimentation, and making tech actually work for you, this one’s for you.

Listen now if you are a Tip Jar Supporter and tomorrow morning in the podcast feed and at: TechnicallyWorking.show

@BlindGirlVlogs83 Good to hear that you are venturing out again here!
@mikedoise Does that mean that those of us who are Blind will not be pasted by these adverts because we can just stop VoiceOver when we get to the end of ChatGPT‘s response? That would make it worthwhile taking the cheapest Subscription!
having an AI partner must be so funny, imagine you ask them "do you still love me" and they begin the response with "Excellent question!"
@stevenscott I use the Hable One for that reason.

The name of the first chapter will be spoken aloud with its name and then “button” (e.g. Introduction, button).

Activating the name of the first chapter will open a menu that offers a list of chapters.

Sincerely,

Release notes for iOS 26.2 said that chapters will now be generated automatically for each podcast if the Developer has not already created them. I subscribe to many podcasts but I cannot find any way of me now playing screen to discover how to access such chapters. How do I go about finding them using VoiceOver?
Thanks
