You never need to apologize for:
•Condemning killing of civilians
•Condemning killing of civilians as a response to killing civilians
•Condemning war crimes no matter the perpetrator
•Needing time & space to center yourself before speaking

This is how we build sustainable peace & justice for all people.

The word “trumpery” appeared in the 15th century with the meanings “deceit” or “fraud”.

100 years later, it was being applied to objects of no value.

Then in the 1900’s, it came to mean “showy but worthless”.

Today, it is equated with “treasonous mobster shitweasel” (TMS).

There's some scary shit in here, like how many participants in this have access to government surveillance data and use it to find us. It also tacitly confirmed something I suspected, which is that they're using tattoos to cross reference as well.

As surveillance gets ever more broad and unchecked, the more important it becomes to try and avoid any linkage between our personas and IRL identities. This means, avoid showing your face next to your IRL identity online if you can. Use encrypted comms, signal, telegram, matrix for talking to friends, clients, etc. Always setup two-factor authentication on sites, use password managers.

However, at the risk of being alarmist, it's only a matter of time before one of the big sites, onlyfans, manyvids, fansly, tryst, gets popped and there's a dump of names, addresses, and persona information. Try and establish a connection to one of the advocacy and support organizations out there ahead of time, many will be able to help you get a lawyer if you wind up needing one.

Watching the scramble to figure out if LK-99 is an Actual Thing™ is fun, but I'm hearing comments like "If it's real it'll mean high-speed trains everywhere!"

My dude, we could ALREADY have high-speed trains everywhere. The resistance in the wires isn't the thing that's blocking it from happening.

hear me out:

What if studio execs and the rest of Hollywood drew the right lessons from the success / polarizing nature of the Barbie movie and went on to release a series of movies that use humor to deconstruct *the rest* of our broken narratives?

Hot Wheels: The Movie (a parable about our broken car culture)

GI Joe: The Reboot, directed by Taika Waititi (deconstructs masculinity the way Barbie did the patriarchy)

Etc.

The WSJ is vying for the Worst Op-ed Prize against the WAPo this week.
These kinds of nonsensical gibberish promoted by media is why it’s harder to have meaningful efficacious climate action.
And it’s climate, not weather, you ignoramus author. At least get the terminology right.🤦🏽‍♀️

I have been using a big physical sand hourglass to motivate my writing sessions lately.

Today I didn't notice that instead of flipping it correctly I had left it with a subtle tilt that meant the last sand was pooled over on the top glass chamber unable to fall, an infinite "just one last minute to go" of work.

Thus was I imprisoned in a cage of my own making.

This is also a story about production measures of productivity.

I don't know who needs to hear this today, but...
