Reading all the time, thinking about writing, figuring out how to get back to Paris, trying desperately to prioritize hope over dread while raising these kids, always searching for the perfect coffee.
She/her.
So I didn't know large breed puppies do the Lean-On-Your-Legs thing that the adults do. That has always been my favorite dog behavior, and to experience still-small Teddy puppy giving me the lean is so utterly charming to me. #DogsOfMastodon #Puppy #GoldenDoodle
Teddy is being extra cute and sleepy this early morning, enjoying a snooze on the blankie his big sister knitted for him. Moments like this help balance the chewy zoomies where every electrical cord in the house seems extra delicious. My first #puppy is a very good boy.

Less than a week with us and lil smart boy Teddy has figured out that he can ring the "outside" bells on the back door not only when he needs to go, but also when he wants to go have obstacle course zoomies with the patio furniture!

Poor Teddy went back in his crate last night. He was not happy about it. He's a sleepy baby boy today.

Good morning from Teddy's early morning play time, when he discovered that this frozen teething ring that was still in the freezer from the last time we had a teething "puppy" (13 years ago) is super fun to chew on.

Tonight we welcomed a new family member. Meet Teddy. I have a new baby. He's 10 weeks old, and perfect. #DogsOfMastodon #GoldenDoodle
Do you have photos of some of your ancestors around your house? These always make me happy. On the left is Great Aunt Lottie, who played the harp, only ever wore blue, and collected lovebirds. On the right is Frances, who was my grandmother's double-first cousin. 2 sisters married 2 brothers and their daughters, green-eyed Frances and my blue-eyed NanNan were thick as thieves growing up, breaking hearts and playing pranks and being extra and dramatic. My apple fell directly from their tree.
When my brain wants to sit in a dark corner and polish its painful thoughts to a mirror shine, like Gollum and his precious in a dank cave, I actively sub in memories and images from the trip my daughter and I took to Paris, my favorite place in the universe, last month. I will never tire of it. My soul comes alive there. #Paris
