@[email protected] @sortius RU's prolonged invasion is leading to drastic levels of human suffering and countless civilian deaths. The moral ground would be evening out at worst if Ukraine alone used chemical/bio assuming they have a quick lethality of course.

I know it's horrible to consider this but again, war isn't pretty.

@[email protected] @sortius The invading RU are basically a parasite. If it was a one way solution I would say go for it. My concern is that RU would (understandably) respond with a similar weapon and they don't only target military personnel unfortunately.

War in general is a bloody business and whether it's a bullet, shrapnel or an explosion that gets you... It'll induce pain and suffering

Argument against chemical weapons is that they kill at considerably higher rates but RU doesn't care for their WIA

@sortius its a reasonable weapon for a country to use on their land to defend their own country being invaded in general.

That's beyond the other considerations such as:
*RU using cluster bombs already but on civilian areas directly
*RU using other ethically questionable weapons such as white phosphorus
*RU bombing civilian populations daily with conventional "clean" artillery/missiles/drones
*RU child kidnappings
*RU countless war crimes (torture, genocidal tendencies, POW treatment).
Etc.

@ThisThornyRose they installed a spa in front of Parliament for a month to protest their lack of freedom... No need to pay attention to these idiots.
@kDelta @ChrisHolladay @w7voa unfortunately capital punishment remains a reality in some so called modern countries, including some US states.
@[email protected] @randahl i think NATO is just being careful not to create an incentive for Ukrainians to actually do it themselves... it sounds horrible but if that meant NATO wiped out the entire russian army in Ukraine it might actually make them consider the option. Ukraine is big... Sure it would corrupt huge swaths of land but also avoid countless other losses both human and material... It's not a decision I'd want to have to take but one I could understand.

@kravietz

You were hungry for more refugee stories 😁🫶
